For those w/ a Basslink (or have heard one)

The local audio shops are all saying a powered sub (basslink) will not have the power to "hear the bass in the car". I don't but it, I think they all want to sell JL subs and amps. I'm not looking to HIT HARD for rap, I just want to give the Stones & Eagles more punch at the bottom end.

Thanks

M'eh prolly just telling you that to upsale you on more shit you don't need. Honestly have heard the basslink in numerous cars including the tl, it sounds great. Gives you some more bass than the stock subwoofer provides with still sounds great. And without breaking the bank.

I have a basslink in my TL, have had a wide variety of sub systems in cars over the years with big drivers, boxes and amps. It's not for rap or hip hop where you're looking to shake the car with boomy (irritating bass. But, for rock, country, blues... it's a great, cost effective option. It won't give you that lower gut feel bass you get at a concert, but fills out the sound great with low end. It provdes a tight, thumpy sound.

I had one before it's not loud and obnoxious., but it can be heard clearly from the inside and outside from 10-15ft. You open up the trunk and crank up the volume and its a small concert. The stock TL audio is fairly good and with the Basslink it'll be even better.

I'm assuming they were in there 1 at a time (not both at the same time). If so which did you like better the I or II? Could you tell the difference between the I and the II?

Thanks,

1 at a time

diffrence between the 2 is the basslink I is rated at 200w rms ,while the basslink II is rated at 250w rms

the basslink II does produce a little more bass but not a huge diffrence. The I is cheaper as well
