Is there space behind the Temp + Radio display of a Non Navi

Is there space behind the Temp + radio display, for an aftermarket unit? From the pics Ive seen of Non navi - Navi conversions.. it seems like no, there would not be enough space.. Can anyone confirm this ? I've got a non Navi and want to use the space of the radio display, to install a single din DVD/GPS..

like a flip out screen? Don't think that would look all that great but it might be worth a try.

No flip out screen.. I aggree, would look bad.. I was thinking of a single din JVC KD-NX5000 DVD GPS.. Its got a 3.5" screen all on the faceplate, 40G hard drive..

Thought about a double din, but then I would loose my temp display.. So do you think I have the space behind the radio screen to fit a single din?

that might look good if you put it up there. How would you connect the audio and what to? Would your head unit just be there for show and not really work?

Look in NAVI installation threads, people have posted pictures and I am sure there are pics of the whole dash taken apart. Then you can see if there is room behind the clock and how much room.
