Does the 3G TL actually have something like a text message notification or am I mistaken? I've recently saw a picture on the web showing a message thing under the trip A screen. I've looked through the manual and everything but can't seem to find anything. Anyone care to explain?

if only our cars can receieve txt msg, then I won't need my iphone sitting out in the car at all :P

Have you heard of iLane? I have one in my 3G TL and it hooks up to your HandsFreeLink to read your emails, texts, PIN messages, calendar reminders... Mine also does on-demand news and weather. Fully voice controlled.

I think it's blackberry only though.

 

It seems funny to me that they called it iLane but have no support yet for iphones.

 

I've always gotten a weird loud beep which was different from the normal text sound on my phone. For the first few days I thought it was the car but apparently the phone changes tone and goes full volume when it's paired.
