Android user here, I use the Smart Action app and set up a rule where anytime my bluetooth radio connects to the car it will voice notify me of who is texting me. I'm not sure but I can probably set it up also to read the text message to me but I haven't done that yet.

I have no interest in a remote starter, especially since I normally park the TL in the garage, but I'm curious: How do those things work with a 6MT, given that you have to depress the clutch to start the car? Do they re-wire it so you need not depress the clutch?

(If so, that would also mean you'd have to leave the car in neutral when parked, which is something I don't do.)

^you're right.
they wire it so that it bypasses the clutch.

and yes, you leave the car in neutral

What system do you have and how much? because if I do get an aftermarket I really don't wanna have to get another remote.

Most quality systems will require you to have a second remote.

The range on the stock key fob is terrible. I have the viper 5901 system installed in my car with a two way remote. Works great and from a very long distance away.
