I've been searching azine and other sites endlessly for a way to fit a tablet into the hvac display and only having a constant power source connected but have had no luck. In other words, I am not looking to connect it to speakers or anything as I already installed a double din so have a way to play music/bluetooth/etc. All i am looking for is a way to connect my phone to a tablet to display google maps/apple maps during long drives and other things that involve tethering to your phone. can anyone give me a DIY that they have seen for something like this? Thank you very much!

 

Add another Cigarette lighter in the dash using switched power and just plug in a car charger. Thats what I use on my 2g.
