What's your budget? If you are looking to get loud with good sound quality you should consider a couple Image Dynamics IDmax 12's. They just came down in price from $350 to $229 on Sonic Electronix: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...12-V.3-D4.html

Two IDmax's will have almost twice as much Xmax as the Power Acoustic Mofo's and almost certainly sound better doing it.

If you really want to get loud you probably should look at a ported enclosure rather than sealed. The only drawback would be loss of trunk space.

A good budget amp to push them is the PPI BK1800.1D for $229:

If you want to be heard from miles away, then look for a ported setup.

Get a couple of 15s and a 2500-3000 watt amp. It will take up your whole trunk. Don't cheap out on the amp. Kicker KX2500.1 is around $400 anymore and it will do 2800 REAL watts and last for a long time. Stetsom also makes some nice reasonably priced power that is reliable.

You will need to upgrade your electrical a bit to be heard from around the block.

Google some SPL Competition cars and you will get some ideas. I don't know of too many around here that are into that kind of setup. I helped the neighbor kid do a SPL setup in his SUV with a pair of 15" Fosgate T2s in a huge box, Kicker 2500.1, big 3 in Zero and some sort of used audio battery - he easily hit 150dbs, but I don't know what his actual number was. You could hear him from around the block and he drove around with those orange foamy things in his ears.

LOL @ the mofo's.

This guy had 3 15's in his escalade

....i walked all over him.

Those subs are very inefficient, and sound like ass.

What's your budget OP?

Single 18" sealed ssa icon with about 700-1000w should do the trick.

I actually have the sub for you for sale in the black market....

JBL W15GTi MKii

It is a Very efficient sub that is nearly indestructible. Gets loud, but is also coveted for its sq properties. You can go sealed with 1.5 ft^3 or ported at 4 ft^3. I am a dealer, just not for JBL. I took this in on a trade from a customer and it tests perfect. It retails for $699 and my price is $250.
