Subwoofer and DVD player question

Hey guys, I just recently bought a new TL Type S and I have a few question. I've looked all through the manual and couldn't find the answer.

The first problem is with the subwoofer option. Only Key #1 allows the subwoofer to be on and adjusted. When driver two (key#2) is being used the subwoofer option is grayed out. I've looked through the manual up and down and google even failed me. So if you guys can point me in the direction that would be great.

Secondly, I'm trying to use the DVD option to play DVD's for my daughter but, it says its unable to play and I have to contact a dealership. Now this makes me think i'm missing some software or something. Is it accessible online or do I have to go to the stealership. Please advise.

Thanks,
Quang

you will not be able to play DVD-Video on the DVD-Audio head unit.
the Head unit is designed to play DVD-A's only.

you can, however, buy a dvdtonav converter and have the nav screen play dvd's.
Let me know if you would like more details about this.

Because you're still new, I can't PM you.
And I'll just direct you to this post.

Use Justin's post to see what you need to play DVD's. It's a nice summary.

If you feel like tackling the job, use this thread. https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...=comprehensive

Since you have a 2007+ TL you already have an auxilary audio line that you can use; you don't have to go the audio interface route if you don't want to. I like mine though.

As far as your subwoofer problem... I have no idea, man. Sorry.

Thanks for the reply. I'll take a look at both and see. I'm a pretty hands on guy so if its not too complicated and doesn't require too much time I may try to do it myself.

As for my subwoofer, its driving me insane. The wife has key #1, while i'im stuck with no subwoofer. There doesn't seem to be any function to turn on the subwoofer for key #2. There is no possible way that the subwoofer is only limited to the first driver is it? I mean that would just be ridiculous.

If anyone has more information about the subwoofer, that would be great! Thanks again.
