So iv got some subs laying around, 2 kenwood 12's and a rockford fosgate 600.2 amp. Used to have them in my truck but took them out. I got a quote of about 150$ to have them installed in the TL and im debating it. The box is almost 70 pounds and I hear that all that weight in the back wears your rear tires faster. Plus it takes up the whole trunk. What do you guys think?

 

sell the system.. put down a little more and get like a 8in/10in jlaudio w7 or something. might cost a little more, but less weight, less space, good bass. just my

Do yourself a favor and install a JL audio 10W3. It takes next to no space and it only needs a small box that can neatly tucked up under the deck lid. I power mine with a 300/4 (2 channels bridged for the sub and the other 2 power the fronts). Sounds great and looks good too.

 

Well from the sound of it, you are not too excited about putting them in, nor upgrading to a decent 10 so just sell it and im sure you can get around 120 just for the subs, keep the amp just in case. Btw like "j7469" mentioned, the 10w3 is a good idea.
