Sub to drop in Factory Location?

Is there a sub that has better efficiency and pounding power to replace the factory sub in the 04 TL? I dont want to go through wiring my car because I leased the car and have 2 years left on it, which I will prob stop a few months early. Any suggestions.

connect the amp straight to the battery and disconnect the stock sub connections and connect that to the amp... I dont know anything about auto sound, but I know you gotta have an amp and a bigger woofer

if you use the same location with a better amp/sub then you will get crazy rattling from the deck. you might be better off getting the Infinity Basslink.

I think the factory sub is a free air sub with no box. You need an aftermarket free air sub and they wont change your sound the way you want. You need a box to bounce the bass frequency or you wont hear anything.

An 8" JL w7 didn't give me any rattles, but i would install that very closely to the open hole after you take out the stock sub.

best sounding sub at volumes 1-28, after that got distorted or something, and i kept it on the left side quarter? (gap) of the trunk. but i bet if i place it near the stock sub hole it would have been much louder, but over all 8" not good for rap/hip hop
