The TL does have a sub, and there are seperate controls for bass volume and subwoofer volume.

i assume the sub is above the panel in the trunk?? The bass has its own volume.. The setting on the navi isnt the volume for it???

Yes- the setting on the navi screen is the volume for the sub on the top of the trunk shelf. I think the problem you might be having is the type of music and the quality of the input. Sometimes I can't hear the difference at all when I adjust the sub volume but other times it's really obvious.
