Stuck tape deck draining battery?
Stuck tape deck draining battery?
So my battery drained mysteriously over night I have a USA spec module, radar detector and 12" sub installed neither of which have seemed to cause a problem before. Recently i noticed that the cassette I had has been stuck and won't Eject was wondering if that can drain the battery?

I have heard of coins in the CD player being a problem (kids slide them into the CD player; if you have kids or if you bought the car used, don't be surprised if that's the case).
However, I don't know if a stuck tape would cause a drain.
Is the cassette continuously trying to cycle? If so, then the answer is "yes."
It might not be a bad idea to pop the tape out with a small flat-bladed screwdriver or feeler gauge blade.
