Can I get away with a 4" depth sub, I dont want to do any mods. All I need is a sub to replace.

the JL that fits had a mounting depth of 4.31 inches, and i think that accounted from movement. I didn't see movement specs on the site so i'm not sure.

Somebody posted depth 3-3/8. Then somebody installed this thing http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_...products_id=29 4.3" fits with bending... I need to drop in a sub with maybe drilling. Drilling is OK. Depth has to be good, stock amp has to pull its part. It sounds like MTX has my name on it-- cheap, lower RMS Wattage, and is kind of shallow.
PS I am not an expert in this electronics so be kind to me please :-)
The stock amp feeds the stock sub with 100W: now, is that RMS or peak.?
