Did a search and did not come up with anything. I recently purcased a 08 TL, it does not have navi, not sure if that will matter. Periodically the stereo sound will like go on mute, sometimes when a bump is,hit,on the road or when a turn is made. Sometimes I have to 'bang' the steering wheel and the sound comes back. Any thoughts?

maybe a loose connector going to the radio or amplifier. peel back the carpet behind the console under the dash and you can see the connectors.

 

I don't understand how bumping the steering wheel affects conection down on the floor.
