Stealth one / Valentine one

I just bought a 2005 TL with Navi. It's replacing a 2003 BMW M5 that I am selling (just isn't practical for me right now). I've got a Valentine 1 radar detector hardwired in the BMW and fully integrated with the car via a Stealth One ( see http://www.jaricdesign.com/products.htm ). The Stealth One sends all the V1 displays to the NAV or the instrument cluster (fully configurable) and lets you use the steering wheel controls to control every function of the V1. The coolest feature is the automute which mutes the V1 below a configurable speed so that it doesn't even bother you unless you're going faster than the set speed. The Stealth One is the coolest radar accessory ever. It works perfectly, and I have really enjoyed it. I haven't been able to find anything similar for the Acura (in fact, they don't even make the Stealth One for BMW anymore).

I've gotten spoiled by the Stealth One functionality and am not looking forward to living without it in the TL. Has anyone ever seen a similar product?

Thanks,
DanYB

That thing is really neat! I haven't seen anything like it for Acura. You might be able to do it if you go the carputer route though.

That's a really excellent piece of equipment. It taps directly into the BMW data bus... Unfortunately, Honda/Acura uses a totally different CAN-Bus architecture, and is thus incompatible.

It seems the bus system Honda uses is well undocumneted, as there are many aftermarket devices for German cars that take advantage of the Bus (Ipod interfaces and such as well), and absolutely nothing for Honda...

I wonder why these guys quit selling these?

Without hacking uo your dash bezel, this is about as high tech as it gets:
