Are you running a JL HD or any other class D amp with it mounted near the antenna?

Pull the fuse from your amp and see if there's still static. The class D amps can leak RF and interfere with radio reception if too close to an antenna. It's not common but it has happened.

All you're doing is isolating the amp as the source of the problem. The goal is to kill power to the amp. You can do it however you want but I figured pulling the fuse would isolate just the amp itself.

Yes it was for this thread. I have static in my speakers as well, even with the headunit off.

You referred to taking the fuses out, not sure why'd I'd do that, it's there to protect the amp. I figured you were referring to changing the fuses out, a process I've already done.

This thread is for a different problem. He does not have static all the time, only when its on the radio which is probably RF from a class D interfering with reception. Here, were talking about a sub amp causing noise over all speakers. I think you took your signal post stock amp which would be your noise problem.

You can pull the fuse, cut the turn on wire, disconnect the power wire, whatever it takes to turn the amp off. I don't suggest you do this because you have a completely different problem.

that has to be wiring picking up RF
i had a similar issue with passive crossovers
move wires and components (other than the speakers) around
