I didn't see anywhere that it states it has it's own alarm. Only that it has a
Auto cut-off switch which disables the start of the vehicle. Nothing about alarms/sirens/panic buttons. No where does it state that it works in conjunction with the factory alarm only the cars emobilizer, which has nothing to do with the factory alarm. I quickly looked at the installation instructions, and I don't think the system ties in anywhere to the factory alarm.

So if we get this we lose our factory siren sound and alarm? To the person who installed this you now have to carry the st800 fob plus your aftermarket alarm fob as well?

Well I figured since it brings a Siren & Motion Sensor it would be considered an alarm. My Bad. Question!!! The Factory 2007 Type-S comes with a factory alarm? I've never heard mines go off so i wasn't sure if it was just keyless entry or what.

Did anyone answer the question about how this compares to the AdvancedKeys solution?

-Advance Key doesn't come with Immobilizer and the ST800 does
-Advance key has a By pass card (which can also be lost) in case u lose your access card and ST800 has a key pad which will never be lost since its in your car.
-Advanced Key doesn't have Remote start, Nor Trunk Popper on the access card and ST800 has remote start with trunk popper on the card it self along with a few Aux commands to lower windows, raise windows, drop your cars top in a convertible, etc
-I don't think Advance Key has Aux but i know it will raise your windows if you walk away from it, which is optional so i imagine its more money for the module.
-Advance Key is $279.99 +shipping and st800 is $450 +shipping but in this group but its $340 with shipping included

In my opinion just from the Features ST800 has way more features then Advanced Key, especially considering price with this group buy. But then again I've never seen each system in action in person, just in videos and st800 still prove to have the upper hand.

I would be interested in it, just some questions, You said its $10 shipping to Canada, also can you mount the push start anywhere else or it has to be on the steering column?

System comes with a Cap for your Ignition keyhole but you can mount the push button anywhere (i think im going to install it somewhere hidden). Check out this video, The 350Z has it installed in the gauge pod pillar http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-Em-CHCjR8

one question though, will this recognize driver 1 and 2? because i know when you unlock your car with the stock tl key fob, it recognizes and sets your car to set driver.

Wheel lock

I don't know about the rest of you guys but nowhere on this thread do I see about having to disable the steering wheel lock. Or is that done electronically as well. Just wondering.

It looks like it is always unlocked, not sure but sounds like you cut the chip off one of yours keys.

"Now for unlocking the steering wheel... You take the other end of your key (the one that is cut) and you put that in your ignition cylinder and turn it to the ACC position. This will allow the steering wheel to be unlocked when driving the vehicle. This in no way compromises the security of the vehicle since the key has got to have the chip attached in order to start the car. The only way the Immobilizer bypass while work and send the RF signal if you use the push button to start the car. You then cap off the ignition making it appear there is no ignition at all in the car."

im not too sure about this but im guessing its whatever keys chip you use when you cut the key. you should email the dealer for more info about it. http://www.auto-innovatio.com/magento/contacts/

ya I dunno about this unit . After reading up on it seems like it has some potential security holes and I definitely don't want to carry around that remote around.

yeah you have to cut one of your keys to use the chip and you don't need an aftermarket alarm, it works with the factory alarm.

Im pretty sure you cut the key for the key part not the chip. You need to physical key in the ignition to unlock the steering column.

For those with aftermarket installed like myself, you could buy this DW-Tech Keyless Touch Start Button . It's way cheaper than the ST-800 and works fine with your aftermarket alarm

Question about The Folding Mirror system. To my understanding that system will only work with cars that have motorized folding mirrors already that are controlled manually and the system automatically folds ur mirrors when ever your car is armed. Or does it add the motorized feature to our TLs?

^^^EXACTLY!!

that was my question to him and he said it'll work on my TL and will match the ST800 perfectly. I got confused and requested more info and installation guideline due to lack of information on their website.

he said he was going to send me more info few days ago but so far he hasn't replied.

Humm that's Fishy, I never even looked further into that cause we don't have the motorized mirrors and to make our mirrors motorized will be a bitch unless they sell some aftermarket mirrors that are motorized, Which i doubt. So let us know what he says further on that because i doubt it.

Oh I found this thread on Power folding mirrors https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/04-08-tl-power-folding-mirrors-768044/
But not much said on it...

funny he just replied to my email an hour ago, sent him another one just now.

and im pretty sure you can wire up the oem mirrors to fold in when the car is armed. since our mirrors ARE controllable.

They are controllable by pushing them in and out with my hand LMAO but mines aren't controllable by a button. I would need a motor or solenoid to push them in and out which is the problem. It they were power folding mirrors they would be no problem with making them fold when armed.

Maybe the guy doesn't know that the TL doesn't have motorized mirrors and because you're asking if the system will control it, he is assuming they do.

I asked him if the folding mirror systems will work for my vehicle, then he asked me which vehicle is it for and I told him 2006 Acura TL.

He replied me this:
"Yes it will work with acura along with ST800 its a perfect set. And simple
installation."

I just replied his email 2 hours ago and he hasn't replied, he replied me quite quickly a week ago.

If you read number 6. it says "Upgrading previous folding system" and if you read more down it says "Our specialists have developed side mirror folding
lock system to upgrade your current folding side mirror option"

So im pretty sure yong thought that our TL's already had power folding mirrors...

isn't that something?? i can get direct answer from here more than the place you want to buy from. seller shouldn't just assume it'd work.

i've called them and no one answered their phone calls either.
i guess i'll wait til ya to get this ST800 before i purchase mine to see any feedback.

I don't think OP had aftermarket alarm/starter that's why he got some issues. Viper 5901 and other aftermarket alarms/starters should be able to fill in the gap between the DW-Tech Keyless Touch Start Button and the ST-800 since they already have bypass module and keyless entry feature
