Sound system won't turn on right away after Isimple installation

Hello i had the isimple installed by bestbuy about 3 weeks ago. everything worked fine for about a week, then the head unit does not turn on right away when i push the power button. it takes between 1-10 mins for the head unit to turn on. does anyone with isimple have this problem? should i have isimple uninstalled? thanks in advance

Please remove the module from your vehicle and update it via our website.

http://www.pac-audio.com/firmware/index.html

Please let me know if this does not fix your issue. I would also like you to do a manual reset while you have the module out of the vehicle.

Thanks,

The Vista software will work on the Win7 32bit platform. You will have to access the module. Depending on where the installer put it it could be a difficult job.

Why does the song info on the radio not match up to what is playing. It seems to stick on the first song unless I unplug the IPOD. Everything has been updated software-wise

Go to this link and scroll down to the Question area.

Look for the Question on accessing the back of the head unit. Some links are provided there.

finally uninstalled isimple and updated to the newest firmware. since i didn't initially install it i took out both driver side and passenger side consoles and then realized the unit was fastened to the left side of the head unit. I did the driver side for nothing lol. anyways, updating the firmware did not help so i reset it and it works fine now. i wonder how long this will last before i need to reset it again. it was pain in the rear taking apart. anyone having to reset the isimple unit regularly to keep it working properly?

take it back to best buy. they keep all their work orders on file (I'm a former employee).

they will remove it for you and make the necessary fixes. Your install comes with a lifetime warranty and this would definitely fall under their guidelines.

if you have the copy of the work order, any Best Buy will look at it. And if they tell you other wise they are lying. If you don't have the work order it may be a little tougher to go to just any store.

where does everyone run the ipod cable? mine was coming out of the passanger glove compartment so the iphone will be hidden in it. i need to use the phone sometimes so i close the glove compartment with the cable hanging out. does that mess up isimple unit? mine is acting up again within a week so i'm thinking maybe i would run the cable through the parking brake instead. any thoughts?

Run it into your center arm rest. Acura even included a hole in the top center arm compartment so that you could run cables out of it.. look in your arm rest.. you will see what I am talking about..

Is there a noticable difference in .37e and .38? I can update it, but its a pain.

I am having similar issues, but I live with them. Sometimes I have a delay in getting factory installed XM when I power on, etc. Quirky stuff.

What does .38 bring us specifically? Any ideas? I don't suppose any adds to pause on HFL.

I also have the problem the OP speaks of. I usually leave the radio on when I turn the car off, so it's rarely an issue. I also had mine done at a BB and the told me the same as another poster on here. Lifetime warranty. Take it back to them and they'll take out the iSimple and upgrade the fw for you.
