Sound Processor but keep factory tuning controls ( SEARCHED)

Ive been searching for hours and looking at tons of youtube videos of installs and as well as other audio forums.

My Music that i listen to is a very wide variety, Trance, Country, Hip hop, classical, rock. My music mood changes through out the day.

One thing i am trying to find is a sound processor that still allows some tuning ability from the stock headunit to increase bass, trebel ect.

Ive heard through local guys that there are sound processors that allow you input a AUX setup for a ipod but im not sure how much word of mouth i trust on that.

Ive read through reviews on Cruthfield and still havent got a solid answer for what i need.

I already know that JL is out of the question since you have to run a seperate control knob. The JBL MS-8 is not a need since i am running all aftermarket amps.

Well, any processor you connect to the factory HU will allow you to use some tuning ability from the HU, but don't ask me why you would want to. You tune the system and have a subwoofer control, but should never need to boost anything else based on the type of music you listen to. Sub level would be the only thing needing a boost at times. The MS-8 does allow you to use your factory volume control (you are mis-informed there) and has a built in internal amplifier, yes, but many who use the MS-8 use all aftermarket amps just like you. If you are not well versed at tuning or don't know someone who is, the auto tune feature of this is simply amazing. There is/has been nothing on the market that does this as sophisticated as the MS-8. Other processor options currently in production would be the Zapco DSP-6, Audison Bitone or the P99rs HU/Processor from Pioneer - all of which you would need an RTA and other testing equipment to properly set. Good Luck!

Thanks for your input. I would want to adjust treble and sub. as some trance songs have Alot of bass while some have little bass so i would enjoy the ease of just click and adjust it a little bit while still enjoying the music at the normal level i listen to my music.

I dont know, it kind of sounds like you may be better off just running the low level signal right into some good after market amps that take balanced inputs and bypass the processor. If you are happy with simple treble, bass, sub controls, this option will save you a lot money and headaches if you dont know/want to tune.

If you are concerned about sub levels, you can also just add a sub knob. All those Processors mentioned are good options, the MS8 is the easiest, but can still take a lot of time to get right and I ended using a RTA anyway.

If you try this and dont like it, you can always just add a processor. Your RCA's will aleady be run.
