Sound dampening /proofing

I was looking into sound proofing my car now that I have taken the back seats and deck out to stop the rear deck from rattling. My question is if I were to put some kind of sound deadener along the floor of the car would it help with the road noise? And what about putting deadener across the back sealing the trunk from the rest of the car would that help?

I was under the impression that the TL's already had sound dampening on the floors. But yes, most definitely it would make it quieter. I was thinking of doing the door panels and the trunk when I install my upgraded sound system. Dynamat is the big name, but check out B-quiet ultimate. It's cheaper, weighs less, and is more effective(especially in warmer climates).
