Sort of Off Topic - Escort Radar Detector Tune Up

Has anyone tried the Escort Tune Up?

http://www.escortradar.com/tuneup/

$60 and the "give" you a new style windshield mount (valued @ $20).

My Escort 8500 occasionally throws a "calibration required" message. Escort states that the unit is re-calibrated as part of the service (which also includes a firmware upgrade).

Just wondering if anyone has tried this and if they were satisfied.

Thanks!
Steve

i know alot of ppl on the forum dedicated to radar detectors and other countermeasures ( google it, i dont want to post link to other forum here) tried it and its well worth it. Especially in your situation since it throws a calibration required messege.

My wife took her 8500 in to the office because it was not working properly, and they gave her a new one. They will take care of you at Escort. I took mine in for a tune up, mainly because it was blasting the laser signal tandomly and they replaced parts and made it brand new. Definately worth it.
