As we all know the sound system (esp the woofer) is pretty weak. so i definitely need to do somethin bout that asap. I dont want anything TOO crazy but get that awe inspiring bass everyone love to hear. So im lookin to spend less than 500 (preferrably 400) on the sound system so could u guys help me out here???

I've got a 600w eDi amp for sale. NINe.2x. Great amp, underrated power. Ad link is in my signature below.

 

I just added two Cerwin Vega Vmax 12"s with a Hifonics 1100w @ 2 ohms driving it. I love it. It adds enough bass to pound, but not so much it drowns out stock highs (unless I turn sub all the way up, and bass knob max).

I spent about $650 on speakers and amp, paid $150 for amp wire install, and built and carpeted box myself. I am a basshead tho, so if I was on your budget Id get the Hifonics Brutus bxi 600 (300w @ 2ohms) and whatever 12 you want that can handle 300w rms.

I would stay away from new RF stuff, JL is nice, but you pay big bucks for it. I thought I was gonna go with Alpine type r's but Cerwin Vega have much the same specs, except better power handling. I love my setup.

 

diamond audio TDX series. sub will run about 300 online, and you can get some cheap 1000w amps (new and used) im running 1 10:TDX and a 1000w precision power amp, and its clearer and louder than my neighbor's 2 12" kicker comp and m friends 2 12" kicker solobarics (i think l5? i dunno)

 

uh huh. that sounds pretty good. im not too familiar with those brands but ill check em out. im kinda fucked for awhile since i have to pay 300 to pay off my speeding ticket so my sound system plan is gunna have to wait awhile
