Shallow mount Subs

I want to replace the OE sub in my car with 2 Shallow mount 10s. I want to save as much trunk space as possible so I was thinking about mounting them facing downward to the rear deck in the truck. What shallow mount subs would ya'll recommend? I plan to sound deaden the crap out of the deck to limit rattles. I wouldn't mind using the OE Sub hole as a port if I can make it work. Thoughts?

I am starting my install, and want the same thing. A lot of trunk space still available with great SQ and can get loud.

The best option (imo) is clearly a Stereo Integrity BM MKIII sub. They only come in 12's but are quite awesome. check them out at>>> www.stereointegrity.com

I'm not looking for loud though. I'm looking for clean crisp sound.

elemental design, digital design, and RE audio are the subs i am looking at. They are a bit pricey but the quality and clarity is there.
