Satellite Radio/Aux Input Adapter Volume
Satellite Radio/Aux Input Adapter Volume
I have a Soundgate Adapter I'm using for my Sirius Starmate Replay in my '00 TL.
It sounds great, but the audio isn't as loud as I'd like it to be (especially when a Cult, ACDC or Van Halen song is playing
).
Is there a way I can boost the input signal from the unit to the adapter input? I'd really like to increase the audio. Would an amp be called for in a case like this?
I'm open for suggestions and definitely appreciate your help.

I'm getting ready to install my Starmate replay from my old car to my new TL. I'm guessing you can't control Sirius through your TL controls. Just have to put it on a station or aux and use the replay for controls?
Have you tried turning up the volume all the way on the Starmate unit?

reisb,
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, it's just as you described- you have to use the Starmate unit to control the Sirius functions.
I do in fact have the volume on the Starmate maxed- it's still not as loud as I'd like it to be. I realize the Bose unit is going to do a bit of signal processing, but I'd still like to be able to listen to it a bit louder.
Where in Charleston are you? I lived in Summerville (off Orangeburg Road north of 17A) until October 2003, when I moved to Tampa.
Take it easy,
