The AFR isnt very accurate with Torque, I guess its just the delay in sending the BT signal to the tablet.

^^^ you sir are correct....

I am running Innovative LM2, so I have it connected to the AFR sensor and to the OBD port via the cable....I see both the AFR's infront of me, and the difference is due to the delay...

I found "Timing Advance". Is that what you are referring to?

Did you enable "Faster communication" under Settings/OBD2 Adapter Settings?

^^^ yes sir....

but it will also display when the timing is pulled....going 70mph on the highway, if you coast, you will see the timing go back down to -10 or 0

and nfn, even with the option enabled, there is lag....I connect to the LM2 (as I mentioned) and there is still delay (there in no bluetooth here....just a cable running from obdii port to lm2)

Wish someone would do a PID plugin for Honda/Acura....

What screens are you guys using the most?

P.S. I bought the ELM 327 from Newegg (2-pack for $22, China) and it works great so far

^^^ I did a PID config on the LM2....so I can post that up

I am using a nexus 7 in the dash....got Torque pro on that...

now you should know that the OBDII port can only connect to 1 device at a time....so I either use Torque on the screen but if am using the dash for Maps, I use the LM2 obdii cable....everything is connected, its just a matter of a switch

There is a plug in for Torque Pro called Knock Detector. I just installed it and haven't had a chance to try it yet.

meh...knock detector doesnt do much...if you are going on the highway and start that plug in, it will ask you to floor it, when you go from part throttle to full throttle, it looks for knock....

i did that and it said "no knock detected"....i wish it was more of a constant monitoring...

Yeah, me too, but if the engine doesn't knock under heavy acceleration, when else would it knock?

How do you mean? Because it doesn't provide constant monitoring?

yeah nfn, sorry just saw your reply....

well under high heat operations and spirited driving....

dont get me wrong, I LOVE the TORQUE app...and the knock detector is a good plug in but I just feel if I have to floor it barely for a second and it tell me no knock, its not detecting much....hell I didnt even get a little speed in LOL....

something where it runs all the time looking for a ping from the ECU is something would be awesome...so if you are around 4000 rpm and hit vtec (not flooring it but spirited driving), now that would be awesome...

Torque is pretty sweet. I have a PLX Kiwi bluetooth unit and use the free torque version.

Used it to check for any faults today on a car that I'm hopefully getting.

You have to got to get one. I set my Note 2 in the middle of my dash either running Torque or Nav. I paid for pro version a while ago.

Is the iPhone situation with BT still as dismal as it was a few years ago when this thread was first posted?

I've never heard of Apple having problems with BT devices before, but....that doesn't mean it isn't a problem - lol - just not anything I've run up against before.

Anyone know more about the Blue Driver unit? A bit pricey, but the app seems like it may be more robust than Torque, dunno:

BlueDriver - Bluetooth Professional OBDII Scan Tool for iPhone®, iPad®, Android - Newegg.com

Lemur Monitors - BlueDriver - OBD2 Bluetooth Scan Tool for Apple and Android Smartphones and Tablets
