Hello everyone, i just picked up a 05 NPB TL and the right side speaker doesnt work with radio/xm/cassette tape aux. But when i use a music cd everything works fine,besides when the navi tries to talk, nothing comes out. From what i think it is not the speakers, i am thinking it is either the stock amp or the head unit is going bad.
Would appreciate any insights.

 

If I had to guess I'd say something is wrong with the head unit. It wouldn't be the amp if it works fine with the CD player. FYI: Nav voice only comes out of the center channel.

 

Hope you have warranty or are in return period...

Nav unit replacement isn't cheap

 

I will have to say bad radio or there is a defective iPod adapter or aux interface, they are in line with the audio signal and when defective cause the nav voice to stop
most likely its not the amplifier

 

The nav works fine I think it's just the head unit then, but I will be wiring my subs and 4 channel with an aftermarket amp soon so that should show me that it's the head unit for sure..

And I already know nav voice only comes from the center speaker.
