Hi all ..... i'll preface this by saying i've tried searching, but am coming up blank. Maybe I needed to look a bit harder not sure. Everything I find refers to video switch boxes for people who already have a NAVI screen, so those threads don't help me on this particular issue. I've read them, and great write ups!

I'm installing a new AVH-P8400BH into my 05 TL. I am also connecting a rear view camera, however it needs a trigger to tell the head unit to display the reverse camera image when the car goes into reverse. I will be tapping for power for the camera at the rear lights, but still need to find a trigger at the front. Reason is I'm looking to avoid running a length of wire to the back of the car to grab a positive from the same source as the lights. I might just have to do this, but I like the challenge I would assume something at the front of the car tells those reverse lights to turn on and that's where i'm guessing i'll find my trigger.

Any help would be gladly appreciated.
