Replacing stock radio

Im new, not really into stock stereo's, but was wondering main reason why people don't change stereo. Is it because of the custom kit needed? But wit all the money you spend on mods, I don't see that being the issue. Or do you just find the stock system good enough?

One reason no one makes a "kit" for our TL. Some have made a few custom ones to fit touchscreen headunits but most people (like myself) prefer the stock look and function. Otherwise you spend alot of time trying to make the new headunit NOT look out of place. Plus interfacing with the NAV and such make it a pain.

It can be done, but it takes time and money. Lots of personal research to do if you are interested.

Stock radio is fine unless you're in that top 1% and competing. There's just no reason to go aftermarket especially if you have factory navi. You stand to lose the HFL, bluetooth, steering wheel controls, and it takes custom work to make an aftermarket HU look right in the TL. Some competitors are now modding the stock HU for better SQ instead of replacing it.

It's easy to integrate an aftermarket sound system with the stock HU.

^ +1 For those of us that prefer an OEM appearance, why change out the HU?
