My sub is blown and I have no interest in putting an aftermarket system in the car. While browsing acuraoemparts, I noticed the new RLX and even TSX have 20mm (8") drivers. I would assume the impedance would be around the same.

I've heard the ELS system in my cousin's TSX and the bass hits a lot harder than my car. Would this be a simple swap? The subwoofer (according to technical drawing) looks like a different design. It is also more expensive ($188 vs. $75) and looks a bit beefier.

While browsing through the RLX speaker options on acuraoemparts, I noticed Foster manufactures the subwoofer for the Krell package. However, it doesn't say how big the sub is.

Has anyone tried this? Are there any hidden gems in the newer Acuras?

I would like to know too. My sub is also blown. And I don't want to put sub in the back if I could get away with upgrading the factory sub with out having the change the amp.
