I’m trying to replace the stereo receiver on my Acura TL 2004 (without navigation), as the CD player has broke (which has been a common problem, as I’ve read). I’m trying to get an aftermarket stereo; the first step appears to be getting the dash kit replaced. So far, it appears no one sells a dash kit that’s compatible with the Acura TL ’04. Crutchfield’s webpage recommends getting a custom dash kit installed. I’ve e-mailed a couple stores that do custom dash work, and responses have been ambiguous at best, and I don’t have any sense of whether any of the stereo receivers listed to be compatible with an Acura TL would work with a custom dash kit. Has anyone figured out how to replace the dash kit, and could possibly help point me in the right direction? Thanks.
