anybody out there replaced their factory sub with another 8"? if so, how'd it go?

 

there have been numerous threads about this, from what ive read, there isn't that much to choose from because the hole that the speaker sits in isn't deep enough so were limited with woofers, if you search im sure you can find some good answers.

 

i've looked but can't find much. is the area where the magnet is surrounded by metal so you'd have to cut?
