Lately, the HFL in my 2006 TL started acting up. For example, I would initiate a call by saying "call Mom", etc., it would acknowledge that, then I'd click and say "Yes". It would then sound like it was making the call but I couldn't hear anything. The person on the other end's phone would ring and they couldn't hear anything. Once I hung up and called from my cell phone and said "Transfer", it all worked fine.

I replaced the HFL with a new one so I had to re-pair by phone, etc.. It still has the same problem. Any ideas?

 

Have you tried pairing a different phone? Maybe its an issue with your phone.

 

Thank for the tip. I tried another and it works. The first phone had been working fine with the old and the new HFL. Strange that it doesn't now. I'll have it replaced.

 

I took my Droid DNA phone back to Verizon. They did a "soft reset" of it and then it worked. So, now I have an extra, brand new, HFL module.
