Recording Songs on a DVD
Not being a search guru, I tried coming up with some answer but DVD was too short and adding any other word produced a whole buch of unrelated posts. My question - I have an 07 Type S - can you record songs (mostly MP3 format) onto a DVD? If so, what type DVD-R /+R Dual Layer, etc....

No. MP3's can only be recorded to CD's. The only thing you can do with a DVD is use the DVD-Audio format (DVD-A).
Personally I'm not sure why they didn't allow the DVD/MP3 availability since the player obviously can read DVD's.. Maybe there isn't enough memory to handle 500+ songs on a single DVD..

i think it depends on the dvd player itself. i think the way it works now is that dvd's that can play mp3's look for a cd instead of an actual dvd.
im sure if you do some research on the web you'll find your answer.

I have burnt a DVD-A with 96 songs. This plays in the regular "CD" player, even though it is a DVD.
This forum has threads on how to create the DVD-A. It's been a year since I build my discs, so I forget the steps. It's about a 3 or 4 step process.
You can create "Groups" on the DVD so that the tracks can be grouped together. I forget how to switch to another group - you have to press two keys together on the radio.
