For some reason my iphone doesn't let me receive calls through aux with the iphone like it doesnt play through the car speakers. when my friend used his iphone it worked in my car. this is a simple aux cord. im trying to figure out why it doesnt work on my iphone. I have a 08 acura tl

the car doesnt receive calls through aux ... it does it through bluetooth. i have noticed that if the phone rings with the aux input already occupied with an aux cable it comes fine through the speakers, however if u plug something into the aux while a call is going on, the call gets dropped. so when are you pluggin in the aux cable?

im just playing music through the aux and i get a call and it doesnt go through the speakers...but when my friend plays music n gets a call it plays through the speakers... i tink it has somethin to do with the iphones(older models)

i believe i encountered this a couple times when i wasn't paying attention. if you have iphone plugged in via headphone jack, you have to answer the phone via HFL on steering wheel then it will all be over the speakers. if you answer it via iphone, the sound will be through speakers but they cant hear you. correct?

No, I'm playing music on my iphone 3gs through the aux cord so its playing through the speakers but when I get a call, it doesn't play through the speakers so i have to unplug the iphone to answer it.

On my friends iphone 3gs same firmware but older iphone model.
Play music from his iphone from the same aux cord through the speaker but this time when u get a call u can hear it through the speakers and they can hear u.

and for some reason my HFL doesnt work on my iphone...
