Rear Subwoofer Blew Again! Replacement option discussion
Hello all, after 12 years my rear deck subwoofer broke last summer. I replaced it with an OEM speaker (39120-SEP-A22) @ $61.32 before tax. A little over a year later mine has blown again.
Should I purchase a new OEM speaker, one for the 05 TL or can I buy a 07-08 subwoofer and is it plug and play? I have an 07-08 Amplifier in my 05 TL base now. I'm even considering going to a junk yard and pulling from there.
Or, is there a direct plug and play subwoofer replacement? I don't want to mess around too much with this, I'm very comfortable with my how radio plays as I've got the USA-SPEC bluetooth adapter functioning near perfectly.
I did notice the original was made in Japan, and the replacement was made in Mexico, so perhaps there is a difference in standards for production. The factory warranty for the speaker is only a year.
Thanks for your input!
