Razr V3 ??

Has anyone purchase this phone yet??

curious how well it works with and without the car...

I'm not too excited about the $499 price tag on it, or the 2yr contract with cingular either.. but if the phone performs that well.... i may consider it

So far nobody in any of those threads has said whether:
  • The battery and signal strength indicators show up on the MID
  • The phone works correctly with the clamshell closed
  • There are any other glitches or gotchas

Anyone?

I'm kind of confused now. He said YES out there, but he seems not to have 3G TL. Anyone knows if this works perfectly with HFL?

If it's a new contract, go here.

Robert,

Can you please confirm that the RAZR battery displays on your TL? Thanks.

I've my V3 paired with TL now and it works flawlessly with good voice quality incoming and outgoing as well, except for Battery meter. Id DOES NOT display batter meter. It shows reception meter and caller ID in MID.

Thanks, I wanted to see if it was worth upgrading from a V600 to RAZR and based on what I am hearing; it's not worth it.

My .02 cents worth.

it is... and its not... the razr apparently gets much better rf than the v600... but thats about all thats better...

now IMO i dont know if its just people saying that because psychologically they think its better because of the higher price or not...

Other than wow factor, metal body and quad band there is nothing special in V3. I got it for $150 so I bought it since Verizon was also going to charge me $150 for V710 and that too for 2 years contract. Though V3 is very thin.

Vikram I think you missed it buddy. I posted in some thread and cannot find it myself. Here is it in summary. I bought unlocked V3 for $150 with Cingular here at a local store. Had I gone with T-Mobile I would have gotten it for free. But wanted to retain one number we already had with T-Mobile. This is with family plan though with two lines activation or transfer. Pretty much same deal as Bimmer88 is offering in sponsored group buy thread.
