Random Nav Reboot

Does anyone else have this problem.

I'm driving along. I am not using the Nav but the Map is displayed. All of a sudden it just reboots. I get the splash screen then the legal mumbo-jumbo. I hit "ok" and it is fine again.

Not a big problem. It has only happened a couple of times and never when I was actually using the Nav for directions.

What do you guys think?

Hmm, interesting... By any chance any time you noticed that it rebooted, were you hitting a bump? maybe a loose wire? or a faulty dvd-rom?

This has been happening since you bought the car?

I don't remember hitting a bump and it has only happened maybe 4 or 5 times in the 29,000 miles I have driven....

OK, does it reboot at the same point?

Example, when listening to CD 3, it reboots? You can always bring it by the dealer, but I doubt they will replicate the problem or offer any "free" work. I'm sure other Aziners will have more input than me, while I brain storm, or whatever is left of my brain for today, lol.

I've had this happen on my 07 TL-S also. Like the OP, maybe a handful of times. No special circumstance I can think of when it's happened either. It hasn't happened in awhile and I don't feel like taking it to the dealer just to hear that the "issue cannot be duplicated". Not sure what could have caused it though which is a little disconcerting.

take out your disk and make sure it is not scratched. Acura released a new TSB that some drives were scratching the disks horribly causing malifunctions.

Mine reboots also, but that's because I have a burned 4.62 disc, I never had a problem with the oem one.
