With all the advances being made in auto technology such as rain-sensing windshield wipers and a convertible that automatically puts its top up, does anyone know if an alarm system with this feature exists?

It'd be great to keep your windows cracked a little on hot days, not having to worry about rain.

I agree. Does the sunroof have a rain sensor? If not I am sure someone could hack a relay into the one touch close feature along with a rain sensor.

 

the sunroof does not have a rain sensor. but you can wire one up yourself. they sell the rain sensors in some electronic parts stores and you can wire it up to your TL to close your windows and sunroof when it rains. you can probably tap into the auto open/close circuit when you use the keys to open and close all the windows and sunroof.

 

But where would you mount it? How small is it? Is the relay enclosed?

 

im sure if you did that, it would interfer with your keyfob...because that would be the same as attempting to have the AUTO UP feature on the TL with your keyfob

 

if i remember correctly somebody got the auto-up feature to work on their tl with some wiring and relays.
