I have a 2007 type s with navigation, 1tb6 on the cassette door, can I use any radio from a 2004 on up? 1tb3?

In the terms of simple plug and play, no. We get this question a lot from potential used car buyers on our lot who are looking at an 04-06 but want the audio unit from an 07-08. Usually it's because they want something like the option to play MP3 CDs, or the aux capability. Again, this is just the short answer I'm a little too tired to go into details!

 

04-06 will only work in 04-06. 07-08 will only work in 07-08. You can use the 07-08 base TL one, but the lighting will be all off on the radio, instead of being red it will be a greenish white and you will loose noise cancelation.

Your best bet is just to stick with the same type of radio you have, in your case a 07-08 TLS radio
