Is there a way to change the XM display so that it scrolls so that the entire group name/song title are displayed? Also, is there a way to have the info display when using the radio? This is the way the info is displayed in other cars such as Audi. I asked the dealer; they had no clue.

I guess "NO"... it's the system issue. You prolly have to MOD it in order to get those addtional "features" worked. IMO.

 

Note also that the name of the artist and the song are both limited to 16 characters, including spaces, which is a limitation of the XM system. Bruce Springsteen's name will show up as Bruce Springstee, at least on the Navi display (the one up by the clock holds fewer characters, which is a space limitation on the car).

If you want to see the full information, hit the Audio button on your Navi display if you have Navi.

XM shows 32 characters...

The older radios and systems use 16.. unfortunately, the Acura is not updated like any of the new units.

 

16 for the artist and 16 for the song equals 32, but it's 16 for each--i.e., if "Rosalita" plays, it won't reallocate to say "Bruce Springsteen" and "Rosalita" because it's less than 32 total, but rather will still say "Bruce Springstee" and "Rosalita." (Don't know whether it adds the "(Come Out Tonight)" or not, but if it does, that would truncate as well.)

Unless one of the new XM aftermarket units from Delphi or somebody is different. This was always a limitation of the way the XM service itself was set up, and not an issue dependent on the particular unit.

 

My XM radios skyfi shows a scrolling of alotof charactyers i counted them to be 32
