Radio tuning knob doesn't work in cold weather

Has anyone had this problem? In below freezing weather, my radio's tuning knob spins without changing stations. Once the interior of the car gets warm, the knob works.

In my car, I haven't seen this problem yet. Hope this isn't normal for TL.
