so my radio is shot pretty much. turn it on after 5 seconds loud pop, radio out for 1 second, then plays for 10seconds, then loud pop radio out 1 second then plays, and round and round we go. what could have caused this? should I look to replace as a stock radio? easy to install an aftermarket radio? what years would the stereo be the same? 07-08? 06-07?

 

What year is your car, that would help. Also it may be the amp as well.

As thoiboi said, it could be the amp has gone bad. Replacing the amp is easier than replacing the radio and picking up a stock amp should be pretty easy. You could check the car parts for sale thread here, find someone selling one locally to you or get one on Ebay.
