radio question

I have an 04 without NAV. My CD changer is no longer working. I found a new OEM replacement on Ebay. The replacement radio is for an 05 with NAV. Do any of you know if the radio is compatible with my my make year model. The part numbers are different. Any input is appreciated. thanks

The logic for the radio changed in 2005 to provide a more balanced system. I'm not sure that the wiring is the same though.

Thanks for your reply, by the way I noticed that you're also posting at ACURAMDX.ORG. I too own an 07 MDX, an as you already know an 04 TL.

Username same as above. I have not decided to purchase the radio until I'm sure I won't have any compatabilty issues since the seller is on ebay. The seller tells me it should fit but then again he wants to sell the radio.

I would see if the dealer would do a goodwill replacement for you if you aren't too far out of warranty. If not, just keep on looking on ebay and in junkyards for a 2004 TL.

I hae an '08 heed unit just sitting on my shelf. I would expect that it should work with the 04 but not certain.

08 head unit will not work. My Helms electical manuals shows that the 04-06 head unit has a 26 pin Connector C and 07-08 has a 40 pin Connector C. It wouldn't be a pretty conversion.

Navi and non-navi headunits are identical. I converted my non-navi 06 TL to navi w/o having to change the head unit. Any head unit from 04-06 will work in your car.
