Radio output gone
04 TL Non-Navi. My CD changer has the same problem many here have suffered and got some stuck CD's. Prior to removing the radio/CD I verified all was working, radio, XM, cassette (yes I do have some mixed tapes from the 90's ). All was working. I removed the head unit, took to my workbench and just popped the "pressed-in" top cover for the cd player. Removed my CD.
Put the radio/cd player back in, but prior to putting all covers and trim on, I test the radio. I power it on put in my code, then nothing, no sound at all. Check all cable connections, check fuse, etc.. No sound from XM or FM, AM. BTW my amp works fine.
Any idea what else should I look at before smashing with a 20lb sledge? Is there a factory reset for the radio/cd?

did it beep and confirm your code? I'd unplug it and plug it back to put in the code again

Well. The issue turned out to be a loose FFC/FPC cable that runs internally between the CD Changer and the radio/cassette. Seems I didn't re-seat the cable correctly when I took the unit apart.
Carefully inserted the cable and snapped it in the special connector. Plugged up the unit, powered it up, put in my code and voila, la musique.
