My battery died last week. I replaced the battery and input the radio code that was stored in my owners manual. The radio works most of time. However, several times per week the "message" indicator appears and the radio does not operate. I tried to access the message center on my audio system and the "message" option is grayed out. Is there another code that I have to enter or some other fix for this issue?

Check your connection.
Check the cables for corrosion.
It sounds like something is losing contact.
