Hello All

I just purschased an 04 TL with 55k miles and I noticed there is a hissing/whining sound with the radio and even when playing a DVD. It sounds like a bad ground because when I accelerate, it get's louder. Also, if the volume is at 0, the hissing goes away, but if I turn it up one the hissing is present. I also think I have a weak battery- could that be causing the problem?

Any ideas?

is this the factory radio with factory amp?

Do you have an iSimple installed?

 

Sorry, yes all factory all original radio etc..

 

No iSimple...is that an Aux for an Ipod?

 

Sounds like a bad ground. My iSimple does the same thing if I have my XM set to AUX and my phone isn't plugged into the cable.
