Radio help
you need to put in your radio code...
don't have it? chech the left hand side of the glove box, might be on a white sticker.
no luck? call the dealership where your car has been serviced. ask them, and then WRITE IT DOWN.

Having same issue as OP. Purchased my 05 TL used and did not get the codes. Sticker is not in the Glove box, don't have the owner's manual. Called the dealer that sold the car new and they gave me the codes (nav and radio). Nav code works but when I type in the radio code I get error1. Tried again and now have error2. Dealer says it is the right code and if I keep trying it will eventually lock out the radio.
Perhaps the radio was replaced and now the code is different? Any ideas? Would love to hear what the system sounds like

i think you would have to take the head unit out and see the bar code or serial number. and then call alpine or who ever makes the head unit.
I think there is a secret menu that shows the serial number but im not sure

^doubtful that it was replaced. its a 5 digit code they gave you, correct?
and you just hit the preset numbers, right?
still no workie? remove that radio and it'll be printed on the unit itself. sucks...but thats one way to do it.

Right- 5 digit code and I type it in using the preset buttons. Called local dealer and they said to push and hold preset buttons 1&6 with one hand and then turn the radio on with the other hand and it will display serial #. Wife has car. Will try later and report back.

Having the code on the unit sort of defeats the "security" of having a code. I thought the code was to help make it harder to steal and then use the radio.
