Radio has no bass?

I installed some subwoofers 2 weeks ago and I love them so far.

Then I noticed I had to turn everything up Bass = +6, Subwoofer = C, Gain knob on Amp = Max. Just to get just a little bass whenever I play the radio.
CDs are fine and even my MP3 player that I have hooked up via Tape Cassette Adapter is great but not the radio.

My setup is Stock Amp > David Navone LOC > Audiopipe AP1500

I'm not sure if I didn't tune something right but it wasn't this quiet before or maybe it's normal and I'm going crazy.

Well first of all congrats on buying a great LOC , not to many people remember who david navone or richard clark were!

This could be a handful of very very simple issues.

Do you have a simple volt meter or maybe an oscilloscope laying around? That plus a test tone cd will help a bunch. So I am assuming you tapped your line output converter to the factory sub output? I would get 50hz playing on your cd player and then meter the output voltage on the factory sub output terminals just to ensure they are providing a good amount of voltage. After that make sure you have set the output attenuation on the LOC correctly so that it will provide sufficient voltage for the input stage of your amp. Then finally make sure that the crossover / gain settings on your amp are correct. Meter the output voltage on your amp when playing a 50hz tone should atleast be anywhere from 20-40 volts (AC). Your crossover should be set anywhere from 50-100hz. Also make sure that you did not mess up the phase on your subwoofers!! So double check your sub wiring. This link will help..

Yes, I have a DMM. I wish I had an O-Scope though lol

hmm, how much Voltage should I see at the stock amp before the LOC?

I didn't mess with the adjustments on the LOC cause the instructions said to just leave it at default. I set the gain on the Amplifier to 33.1X VAC (While playing a 50hz tone at 3/4 volume) and I set the LPF around 70-100hz, can't really tell and I'm sure the subwoofers are not out of phase.

and on my OP, I meant to say Remote Gain Knob. I didn't mean Gain Knob (on the Amp) turned to Max Lol.
