We had our tl sent to the bodyshop for a scrape down the whole left rear panal from the garage and the shop had it for a week and a half. We got it back today and the radio/navi screen is the 'lock'/antitheft mode where i have to enter the radio code/pin. This is the first time doing this and we have not seen this code card ever. also, the pin it's asking for is 4 numbers, not 5 like the manual states.
We have not setup our PINs on the car either.

Did the dealer just forget to issue us a unlock code or is there a problem?

There are a few locations in the car to look for the code. Otherwise, time to bring it to the dealer. Read through those threads (many more can be found with a search) and post within one of those threads if you need additional help.
