Radio Code

I'm sure there's a ton of threads on this subject but I'm kind of in a rush. I have the serial number to my device but I need the radio code. Bought the car used from a private seller, no manual, no radio code. Phoned the Acura dealership and they directed me to their website, which won't work for me because I didn't buy my car from the dealership, (email, etc. not reg. to the website/database) so their radio code retrieval page won't work for me. My serial number is "U 1212 L 2960". If anyone can magically find out what my code is with that serial number, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

not sure if you fixed this yet or not, but you have to call Acura with your radio serial number, and VIN number. You can find your serial number by popping the trim piece around the radio on the passenger side. There is a white sticker with the number. A lot of threads say you have to take the radio out but you don't. Call this number with the info: 800-382-2238.

If you have the maintenance journal, look inside it. Sometimes the code will be in one of the first pages.

If not then physically go to the dealer. My dealer won't give codes out over the phone.

It might depend where they put the sticker on the head unit. I have navigation and the sticker was blocked by the bracket that holds the screen and headunit together.

I read that there was a way to get the numbers by holding the presets for 1 and 6 together then turning the power on. You'll have to confirm it but the instructions were on the Acura site.
