Radio.




hey members!

my lovely radio has cracked. im looking into getting the navigation radio. Will the navigation radio will have the hvac control. and where would it be best to get the navigation radio at a affordable price in the tri-state area.

I believe on the cars with nav they have the display for the hvac on top of the nav screen. Its another small screen. You can try ebay and pick up an full system for probably the best price you can.

it's not as easy as taking your busted radio out and putting a navigation one in. as the above poster said there is another screen above the radio plus different wire harnesses and stuff like that. Is is possible though.

Yea it can be done but it has its complications.

the navigation coversion can be done, but it is a hard task. I suggest you get a regular display (installing it is easy) and trade in your TL if you want navi.

Well I never had an opportunity to open the center concle but now that I have too, my luck has arrived =) . csmeance can you give me a few pointers on what i should watch out for?

take your time and make sure you don't loose your screws. Swaping the display requires a lot of dis-assembly, but its pretty simple (unscrewing screws and pulling off clips) Look in the 3G garage for the scans, and as well look at the short shifter install DIY for some photos and guides.
